Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are working throughout the summer to ensure bus transportation in the Coatesville Area School District runs as smoothly as possible for the 2024-25 school year.

If you are able to provide your own transportation for the coming school year for your child, we are asking you to please respond to our “Release Your Seat” form online. Releasing your seat does not mean you are giving up transportation indefinitely. However, we are not able to provide one-day or occasional transportation needs for families who have released a seat.

Please complete this form for each student attending.

If your needs change this year, and you need a bus seat for your child in the future, simply call the transportation department at (610) 466-2400 (OPTION 2) or email schoolbus@casdschools.org, and we’ll add your student back to our bus assignments within five (5) business days.

Releasing your seat allows us to schedule our buses much more efficiently and effectively, and potentially saves transportation funding that can be allocated to other areas.

Preliminary fall bus stop and bus route information will be emailed to all public school families in mid-August. You may see changes in your student’s bus stop locations and pick-up and drop-off times moving into this new school year. Adjustments were made to establish safe stops, consolidate stops to reduce hazardous frequent stopping, limit the time buses enter subdivisions, and avoid areas that require backing.
