1st Annual Kindergarten Carnival

Our School Police and Safety officers attended the first annual Coatesville Area School District Kindergarten Carnival on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Rainbow Elementary School.

The Coatesville Area School District Police Department joined many other school district departments to welcome the future class of 2037! During the two-hour event officers met incoming 24-25 Kindergarten students and their families. Officers Lauren Trego and Brian Irizarry greeted incoming students out front with a tour of one of our patrol vehicles. Students were able to try on some police gear and play with the lights and sirens!

Inside, officers scooped Rita’s water ice. Safety Officer Jack Francis teamed up with our incoming students to play corn hole, while Safety Officer Bambi Ott handed out our scavenger hunt passports. Students had to get their passports stamped to receive a prize at the end of the night.

Chief of Police Frank Galbraith met with students and families, provided information about our department, answered questions, and gave lots of fist bumps and badges. The toy police cars and coloring books were a huge hit with the students.

“This was a great opportunity to speak with the school police officers as well as a chance for the incoming students in our community to have some fun while meeting the officers and exploring some of our equipment,” said Chief of Police Frank J. Galbraith.”

Chief Galbraith said, “our department staff and officers did a great job. Our school police and safety officers pride themselves on community engagement and building relationships with our communities youth. We are already planning next year’s event!”

We would like to thank Alfredo Jimenez of Rita’s Water ice in Downingtown for the generous donation for the class of 2037!
