The High School Scholars Program offers the opportunity for three high school students to complete a five-week paid internship ($1,000 stipend). The internship involves working closely with a neurologist on a basic science or clinical research project, and shadowing physicians in clinic. Work hours will be determined between the student and mentor based on project need. At the end of the five weeks, students will be expected to prepare a poster presentation outlining their project results.

MARINE SCI for SENIOR - COLLEGE CREDITS - 6 WEEKS
University of Maryland Eastern Shore - paid internship includes room and board, and earn college credit!
The Geosciences Bridge Program is a collaborative summer program designed to recruit and train high school students, particularly from underrepresented groups, in various geoscience fields. The collaboration is between the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Cooperative Science Centers (CSC).
The program offers a 6-week paid internship ($500/week stipend + housing + meals) for students planning to pursue careers in a field of geoscience. The program includes lectures, field trips, hands-on activities, 2 courses for college credit (math and freshman seminar), housing, meals, travel to and from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and a stipend.
Who can apply: Graduating High School seniors who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a geoscience discipline; priority is given to students planning to attend a NOAA Cooperative Science Center academic partner.

Young Scholars Program in Discrete Mathematics
July 5 - July 30, 2021
The Rutgers Young Scholars Program in Discrete Mathematics is a summer program for mathematically talented high school students. It provides a mathematically rich environment to high school students interested in mathematics, and is designed to encourage them to consider careers in the mathematical sciences.
Selected students participate in an intensive four-week residential academic program that provides a challenging introduction to discrete mathematics -- a new and growing area of the mathematical sciences with many applications on the cutting edge of modern research. When you apply for admission to the program, you will be asked to solve a set of interesting mathematical problems (see the sample problem below). Your responses to these problems and other application information will be reviewed by our staff.
The cost of the program is $4,200 which includes tuition, materials, housing, and meals from Monday morning to Friday afternoon each week. Students return home each weekend.

FORENSIC SCIENCE - free program
At the Forensic Sciences Mentoring Institute (FMI) Summer Science Program high school students spend 7 weeks investigating and solving a crime while learning how to be a forensic scientist. Students will analyze crime scene evidence based on actual cases including homicide, sexual assault and drug trafficking investigations under the mentorship of forensic experts.
** it is not residential. The Foundation's address is in Willow Grove. Must provide own transportation and food.
ELIGIBILITY
- Currently enrolled in high school
- Sixteen years of age or older by June 18th, 2021 (no exceptions – this is required for insurance compliance)
