The final fifth grade promotion ceremony at Caln Elementary School was both a celebration and a moment of reflection as students prepared to take the next step to middle school.
For 99 years, Caln Elementary has played a prominent role in the lives of these students and countless others throughout our district. Multiple generations of families have walked through its doors, forming friendships, creating memories, and beginning their educational journeys.
While the future is bright and exciting for our students and district, Caln Elementary has been a rock in our foundation. We congratulate these students on their promotion, some of their smiling faces seen here, and thank everyone who has helped make Caln such a special place for generations of learners.

Fifth grade students and their families proudly participated in Reeceville Elementary School’s annual 5th Grade Promotion Parade, a tradition that celebrates students as they prepare to move on to middle school.
Students arrived at school with their parents in decorated vehicles that lined the parking lot, creating a festive and memorable start to the day. Led by Officer Brian Irizarry in his police vehicle with lights flashing and sirens sounding, the parade followed a special route around the school grounds.
Along the way, students picked up a signed Reeceville 2026 T-shirt and a copy of their class picture before making their way to a cheering crowd of students and staff gathered outside. At the end of the parade, students walked the red carpet where they were personally greeted by Dr. Cole.
What a wonderful way to celebrate this exciting milestone for our future middle school students!

A Delicious Day for the Rainbow Garden Club!
The final meeting of the Rainbow Garden Club was a huge success! Dr. Chrisman’s kindergarten class and Garden Club students harvested more than 100 basil plants that they had grown from seed.

First Walk – Part 1
Yesterday, the Coatesville Area School District held its First Walk, a heartwarming tradition that welcomed our youngest learners—the future Class of 2039—to the Red Raider family.
The event gave registered kindergarten students the opportunity to walk across the graduation stage alongside a graduating senior, offering a glimpse of what it will feel like years from now when they cross that same stage to begin their next chapter. It was a special opportunity to celebrate the start of their educational journey with a little pomp and circumstance and a lot of excitement.

Talaria Throwback Thursday
This week’s Throwback Thursday takes us back to a time when Americans were watching Happy Days and The Six Million Dollar Man, singing along to hits by Elton John and John Denver, and eagerly awaiting the debut of a little show called Saturday Night Live. Gas prices and bell-bottoms were both on the rise, and the world was captivated by the "Rumble in the Jungle" heavyweight title fight.
Take a look at this week’s Talaria yearbook photos and see if you recognize any familiar faces from this memorable era in Coatesville history.
Now it’s your turn…
-Do you recognize anyone?
-Can you guess the year?
