This is a great resource for kids to use for research! The books can be read to the students. There are even videos to give even deeper understanding of the text.

Everyday Mathematics (EDM) FOR STUDENTS
This is a link students can use to access our math program, Everyday Mathematics. The students can use their login information to copy homework, access tutorial for certain lessons, play games to reinforce skills taught in the classroom, and view the Student Reference Book we use in class.

Everyday Mathematics (EDM) FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS
This website is FABULOUS! It is a resource and information center created by the authors of Everday Math. Simply click on "Grade 5" under "EDM4 Edition" (make sure it's the 4th edition you click on) to gain access to a copy of every Home Link (homework) AND answer key. I highly recommend taking some time to explore this site.

The Library has a TON of great resources! This link will give you access to all the libraries in Chester County.

Online Dictionary
I use this website a lot, both in and out of the classroom. If there's a tricky word you son/daughter does not know, use this site! Not only does it provide a definition, but it also has speaking capabilities so they can HEAR the pronunciation. This link will also give you access to a thesaurus.

Responsive Classroom
Responsive Classroom (RC) is an evidence-based approach to teaching that focues on the strong link between academic success and social-emotional learning. I have been trained in RC I and II. Although this site is geared mainly towards educators, I think it is worth exploring. It gives a very nice overview of what Responsive Classroom is and how I use it in the classroom.

Khan Academy is a great resource to use at home if your child is either having trouble with homework OR would like to be more challenged. It has a wide variety of tutorial videos that teach a wide variety of skills.
