• As part of Responsive Classroom, the students and I will worked TOGETHER to create our Room 122 Expectations. The students first generated lists of what must be expected in order for everyone in the class to succeed. We then compiled our ideas, which resulted in a VERY long list. After I read their wonderful thoughts, I identified 4  major themes. I then showed the "draft" of expectations to the class. They approved, so the expectations listed below are our Room 122 Classroom Expectations.

                   Room 122 Expectations
    1. Respect the space, rights, and property of others.
    2. Follow directions the first time given.
    3. Be KIND!
    4. Try your best!

The consequences below were created only by me (I'm sure if I left that up to the students I would get very interesting results).

    1st Offence:  Take-a-Break/Warning
    2nd Offence: Phone Call/Email
    3rd Offence: Office Referral

I made it clear to the students that this is not necessarily the order I will always use. For example, depending on the severity of the misbehavior I may skip 1 and automatically make a phone call home and/or refer him/her to the Office.
