Summer Snapshot
Congratulations to Sienna Butler, a rising 7th grader at Scott Middle School, on earning her Mandated Reporter Certificate as part of the Coatesville Kids to College Junior Counselor training program!
By completing the required child abuse recognition and reporting training, Sienna is preparing to serve as a Junior Counselor while learning how to recognize signs of abuse and neglect, understand the responsibilities of a mandated reporter, and help create a safe environment for children.
We're proud of Sienna for taking on this important responsibility and making the most of her summer!

Kindergarten Jump Start: Ready for Success!
Yesterday marked the successful conclusion of our Kindergarten Jump Start Program, where our newest learners took an exciting first step toward their educational journey!
Made possible through the generous support of the Coatesville Community Education Foundation, students qualified for the program through the district's Kindergarten Screening process. Over the past two weeks, they built confidence, made new friends, and developed important academic, social, and classroom readiness skills that will help them begin kindergarten with confidence.
We are so proud of all they accomplished and can't wait to welcome these future Red Raiders when school begins in August!

The Anderson family has been making wonderful summer memories in Wildwood, New Jersey!
Arian Anderson (8th grade, CCIU Learning Center/North Brandywine Middle School), Xaria Anderson (7th grade, Scott Middle School), and Ember Anderson (1st grade, Reeceville Elementary School) joined their cousin for the annual Wildwood Beach Patrol 21 Down Day—a special beach event that celebrates children with Down syndrome and their families.
What an incredible day filled with sunshine, smiles, and unforgettable moments at the shore! We hope the Anderson family enjoys the rest of their summer, and we look forward to welcoming Arian, Xaria, and Ember back for another great school year.

Nothing says summer like a day at Hersheypark!
Destinee, an upcoming third grader at Reeceville Elementary School, and Fidel, an upcoming seventh grader at North Brandywine Middle School, enjoyed an exciting day filled with rides, laughter, and unforgettable memories at the Sweetest Place on Earth.
We hope Destinee and Fidel continue having an amazing summer, and we can't wait to welcome them back for another fantastic school year!

Summer doesn't stop for our AFJROTC cadets!
Through the voluntary Cadet Summer Program, students continue building leadership skills while supporting Color Guards, flag ceremonies, community service projects, and special events throughout the summer.
Their adventures have already included visits to the U.S. Naval Academy and the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover Air Force Base, where they explored military history, aviation, and the traditions of service. These hands-on experiences help prepare our cadets to become confident leaders both in and out of the classroom.
We are proud of our AFJROTC cadets for making the most of their summer while continuing to represent Coatesville with pride!

Finding Yourself Through Art
Today, students participating in our summer program at Rainbow Elementary School had the incredible opportunity to hear award-winning illustrator E.B. Lewis share his personal journey as an artist, author, and educator through our valued partnership with the Believe & Achieve Foundation.
Mr. Lewis encouraged our young learners to embrace their creativity, believe in themselves, and never be afraid to tell their own stories through creativity.
Following his presentation, students participated in a hands-on workshop where Mr. Lewis taught them to "paint without fear," inspiring creativity, confidence, and self-expression with every brushstroke.
We are grateful to the Believe & Achieve Foundation for making meaningful experiences like this possible and for their continued commitment to enriching the lives of our students. We would also like to thank Mr. Lewis for his time and inspiring words to our students.

Meistersingers Take Europe!
What a summer adventure for our Coatesville Area Senior High School Meistersingers! From July 3-11, our talented students traveled through Europe, experiencing the music, history, architecture, and cultures they have learned about firsthand.
Their journey included stops in Bratislava, Salzburg, Vienna, Budapest, Bucharest, and Munich, along with visits to Mozart's birthplace, Schönbrunn Palace, locations featured in The Sound of Music, and the banks of the Danube. They also attended a chamber music performance in Vienna and experienced Hungarian folk dancing in Budapest.
Opportunities like these take learning far beyond the classroom, allowing our students to experience different cultures, explore history, and deepen their appreciation for music and the arts while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
What an incredible experience for our Meistersingers and another example of the opportunities available to our students when families CHOOSE COATESVILLE!

The fifth-grade team, made up of Zoe Ellis, Katelyn Crozier, Aubrey McElroy, Courtney McNeil, and Christina Gallagher, recently gathered to begin brainstorming ideas for an incredible school year. Together, they're planning engaging learning experiences, building a strong team, and preparing their incoming students for a successful transition to middle school.
When passionate educators collaborate, great things happen. We can't wait to see the positive impact this outstanding team will have on our students!

Dr. Anthony Rybarczyk stopped by The Bridge Academy and Community Center's summer camp today and had the chance to spend some quality time with the campers!
From joining in a game of kickball and playing card games to sitting down and reading a chapter together, the visit was a great opportunity to connect with campers and see firsthand the meaningful experiences being provided throughout the summer.
The Coatesville Area School District treasures our relationship with The Bridge Academy and Community Center, a valued community organization that continues to support, encourage, and create opportunities for children and families throughout Coatesville.
Strong schools are built alongside strong communities, and we are grateful for the organizations that work with us to help our students thrive.

Our students had a wonderful opportunity to participate in a Fresh Farm Market sponsored by Believe and Achieve! Each student filled a bag with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, including corn, carrots, peppers, lemons, apples, and bananas.
The excitement was contagious as students explored healthy choices and packed their bags with nutritious foods to take home. Their smiles said it all!
A huge thank you to Believe and Achieve Foundation for their continued partnership and support!
