The Coatesville Area School District Board of School Directors held its Regular Board Meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The evening featured several important recognitions and approvals that highlight the district’s continued commitment to academic excellence, student achievement, and organizational growth.
Student Recognition
The Board proudly recognized a number of students for outstanding achievements in both academics and athletics. The CASD Robotics Club was in attendance to share an overview of their program and provide a demonstration of the innovative robots used during this year’s competitions. Additionally, winter athletes from swimming and diving, indoor track, wrestling and the boy’s basketball teams were honored for their exceptional performances throughout the season.
Instructional & Programmatic Approvals
Several key approvals were made to enhance educational programming across the district, including:
Approval of the Core Services and Occupational Education Budgets for the Chester County Intermediate Unit.
Approval of a range of instructional and assessment materials, including the primary text for the newly introduced AP African American Studies course to be offered at the high school beginning in the 2025–2026 school year.
Facilities Updates
The Board approved repairs to the stage curtains and equipment at Reeceville Elementary School and the Intermediate High School, ensuring that these performance spaces continue to support high-quality student events and presentations.
Leadership Appointments
Two major leadership actions were approved:
The renewal of Business Manager Miss Lori Diefenderfer’s contract for the next five years, ensuring continued fiscal oversight and stability.
The approval of Dr. Anthony P. Rybarczyk as the Superintendent of the Coatesville Area School District. Dr. Rybarczyk, who has served as Interim Superintendent, was officially appointed to lead the district forward with a clear, student-centered vision and dedication to equity, excellence, and community engagement.
