Learning History Through Experience
Students from the Historic Research and Preservation Course at Coatesville Area Senior High School recently traveled to National September 11 Memorial & Museum to deepen their understanding of the events of September 11, 2001.
The visit also highlighted Coatesville’s connection to history, as steel from the former Lukens Steel Mill was used in the foundation of the Twin Towers. Students will continue that learning experience later this month with a visit to the National Iron and Steel Heritage Museum to see the steel tridents returned to Coatesville in 2010.
Thank you to The Parkesburg Point and Dwayne Walton for helping support this meaningful opportunity for our students.
