First Walk – Part 1 Yesterday, the Coatesville Area School District held its First Walk, a heartwarming tradition that welcomed our youngest learners—the future Class of 2039—to the Red Raider family. The event gave registered kindergarten students the opportunity to walk across the graduation stage alongside a graduating senior, offering a glimpse of what it will feel like years from now when they cross that same stage to begin their next chapter. It was a special opportunity to celebrate the start of their educational journey with a little pomp and circumstance and a lot of excitement. More photos to come from this fun and memorable event!

Talaria Throwback Thursday

This week’s Throwback Thursday takes us back to a time when Americans were watching Happy Days and The Six Million Dollar Man, singing along to hits by Elton John and John Denver, and eagerly awaiting the debut of a little show called Saturday Night Live. Gas prices and bell-bottoms were both on the rise, and the world was captivated by the "Rumble in the Jungle" heavyweight title fight.

Take a look at this week’s Talaria yearbook photos and see if you recognize any familiar faces from this memorable era in Coatesville history.

Now it’s your turn…
-Do you recognize anyone?
-Can you guess the year?

A Ride to Remember at Reeceville

Last week, the Baer family from Reeceville Elementary School received a very special ride to school after winning a fire truck ride at the Reeceville Bag Bingo event.

Thanks to West Brandywine Fire Company and Chief Vince, the students arrived in style with lights flashing and horns sounding. Their arrival was made even more memorable as fellow students lined up to welcome them to school.

What an exciting way to start the day!

A Carnival of Creativity at Reeceville

The spring art show and concert at Reeceville Elementary School brought a fun carnival theme to life as students truly “popped” through their artwork, music, and singing performances.

Student artwork is now displayed throughout the hallways for families and students to enjoy, while our young musicians performed both during the school day for their peers and again Monday evening for their families.

A special thank you to art teacher Ms. Rossiello and music teachers Mr. Cropper and Ms. Anderson for their hard work in making this amazing event possible!

The Believe & Achieve Foundation supporting the Coatesville Area School District with a donation for our summer programs.

Making the right school choice for your child is important, and the Coatesville Area School District is dedicated to “Building the Future for Student Success” right from the very start.

Students in smaller classes have more opportunities for individual attention, the ability to build stronger relationships with teachers, and a chance to engage more meaningfully in the classroom.

With an average class size of only 20 students in kindergarten, our youngest learners can be part of a supportive learning environment where children feel seen, valued, and inspired to grow every day.

CHOOSE COATESVILLE and give your child a strong start in a community built on learning, support, opportunity, and pride.

Exploring Coatesville’s History

Students in the Historic Research and Preservation classes at Coatesville Area Senior High School recently participated in a Historic Walking Tour of Coatesville led by Lisa Doan-Harley.

During the tour, students visited historic buildings and landmarks throughout the city before making their way to the National Iron and Steel Heritage Museum to learn about the impact of Lukens Steel on both the Coatesville community and the nation. Students also had the opportunity to see the World Trade Center steel and explore the historic Lukens Steel Mill buildings.

A meaningful hands-on learning experience connecting our students to the rich history of Coatesville.
