Dear CASD Families, Staff, and Community Members,
On Tuesday, July 28, the Coatesville Area School District Board of School Directors held its monthly board meeting, recognizing student and staff achievements, celebrating district milestones, and taking action on initiatives that support our ongoing commitment to educational excellence. We invite you to read some of the highlights from the meeting below.
Celebrating Excellence Across CASD
The Meistersingers traveled throughout parts of Europe experiencing music, history, architecture, and culture.
Many of our students are participating in district-sponsored summer camps for various sports
As seen in our Summer Snapshot pictures on social media and the website, our students are making the most of their time and making great memories this summer.
Investing in the Future of Learning
CASD administrators held their annual retreat at Lincoln University to discuss to 2025-2026 school year and begin planning for the new school year.
Kindergarten Screenings continued in July as we prepare for our newest learners. The last two screening dates will be on August 10 & 11.
The Board approved the required bond resolution that moves the district one step closer to beginning construction on the new North Brandywine Middle School.
The Board approved an international field trip to Panama for the Coatesville Area Senior High School Spanish Department in 2028.
Connecting With Our Community
CASD congratulates the City of Coatesville and the many individuals and organizations whose dedication made the reopening of Ash Park possible.
During our summer programs through our partnership with the Believe & Achieve Foundation, our students have had the opportunity to meet some great visitors including representatives from Elmwood Park Zoo and award-winning illustrator E.B. Lewis.
Michele Snyder donated $150 to support the Michelle Brewer Memorial Award for graduating seniors.
Elisa Lees and Michele Snyder donated $150 to support the Wm. F. Lees Jr. Memorial Scholarship presented to graduating seniors.
The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, in honor of Army veteran Joseph Krause, donated $2,000 to support the district's AFJROTC program.
As we prepare to welcome students back for the 2026–2027 school year, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to our students, staff, families, and community partners for the support, dedication, and pride you bring to the Coatesville Area School District. The progress we continue to make is the result of our shared commitment to providing exceptional opportunities for every student and creating a school community where all learners can thrive. It is this commitment that inspires more families to Choose Coatesville as we continue Building the Future for Student Success.

ASPECTOS DESTACADOS DE LA REUNIÓN DE LA JUNTA ESCOLAR DE JULIO DE 2026

Estimadas familias, personal y miembros de la comunidad de CASD,
El martes 28 de julio, la Junta Directiva del Distrito Escolar del Área de Coatesville celebró su reunión mensual, en la que reconoció los logros de estudiantes y miembros del personal, celebró importantes hitos del distrito y tomó medidas sobre iniciativas que respaldan nuestro compromiso continuo con la excelencia educativa. Los invitamos a leer algunos de los aspectos más destacados de la reunión.
Celebrando la Excelencia en CASD
Los Meistersingers viajaron por distintas regiones de Europa, donde disfrutaron de experiencias relacionadas con la música, la historia, la arquitectura y la cultura.
Muchos de nuestros estudiantes están participando en campamentos de verano patrocinados por el distrito para diversos deportes.
Como se puede ver en nuestras publicaciones de Summer Snapshot en las redes sociales y en nuestro sitio web, nuestros estudiantes están aprovechando al máximo el verano y creando recuerdos inolvidables.
Invirtiendo en el Futuro del Aprendizaje
Los administradores de CASD celebraron su retiro anual en la Universidad de Lincoln para reflexionar sobre el año escolar 2025-2026 y comenzar la planificación del nuevo año escolar.
Las evaluaciones de Kindergarten continuaron durante julio mientras nos preparamos para recibir a nuestros nuevos estudiantes. Las dos últimas fechas de evaluación serán el 10 y 11 de agosto.
La Junta aprobó la resolución de bonos requerida, acercando al distrito un paso más al inicio de la construcción de la nueva Escuela Intermedia North Brandywine.
La Junta aprobó un viaje educativo internacional a Panamá para el Departamento de Español de la Escuela Secundaria Superior del Área de Coatesville en 2028.
Conectándonos con Nuestra Comunidad
CASD felicita a la Ciudad de Coatesville y a las numerosas personas y organizaciones cuya dedicación hizo posible la reapertura de Ash Park.
Durante nuestros programas de verano, realizados en colaboración con la Believe & Achieve Foundation, nuestros estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer a visitantes destacados, entre ellos representantes del Elmwood Park Zoo y al galardonado ilustrador E.B. Lewis.

La Iglesia Luterana del Buen Pastor, en honor al veterano del Ejército Joseph Krause, donó $2,000 para apoyar el programa AFJROTC del distrito.
Mientras nos preparamos para dar la bienvenida a los estudiantes para el año escolar 2026-2027, quiero expresar mi más sincero agradecimiento a nuestros estudiantes, personal, familias y socios comunitarios por el apoyo, la dedicación y el orgullo que aportan al Distrito Escolar del Área de Coatesville. El progreso que seguimos logrando es el resultado de nuestro compromiso compartido de brindar oportunidades excepcionales para cada estudiante y de crear una comunidad escolar donde todos los estudiantes puedan prosperar. Es este compromiso el que inspira a más familias a Elegir Coatesville, mientras continuamos Construyendo el Futuro para el Éxito Estudiantil.
