Dear CASD Families, Staff, and Community Members,
On Tuesday, May 26, the Coatesville Area School District Board of School Directors held its monthly board meeting, providing an opportunity to reflect on the many accomplishments, celebrations, and initiatives that have shaped the month of May. We are pleased to share some of the highlights and key updates from around the district.
Celebrating Excellence Across CASD
May was filled with opportunities to recognize the outstanding students, staff, and community members who make the Coatesville Area School District a special place to learn and grow.
CASD celebrated National Principals Day on May 1.
The district recognized cafeteria staff during School Lunch Hero Day.
CASD honored teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week.
CASH celebrated Andrew Winians and Kylee Bostic at its final College Signing Day.
CASD recognized school nurses on National School Nurse Day.
The Meistersingers honored Mrs. Rita Tingle-Lewis during their final concert of the year.
The Coatesville varsity baseball team won the Ches-Mont League Championship.
Luke Burkhart received the Mayflower Award at the Pennsylvania National History Day Championship.
Intermediate High School students showcased their talents at the annual talent show.
Angel Johnson received the Agnes Prince Margolis Scholarship from the Coatesville Community Education Foundation.
The Rotary Club of Coatesville honored the Class of 2026 Top 25 students.
Mark "Bones" Cunningham was recognized through the 2026 Talaria Yearbook Dedication.
Investing in the Future of Learning
CASD continues to invest in innovative programs, student opportunities, and initiatives that support academic success and future readiness.
CASD and Brandywine Virtual Academy hosted a Coatesville Cyber Academy open house for families.
Kindergarten Screenings continued for incoming students across the district.
CASH students and staff continued work on the College & Career Center courtyard.
Administrators began training on the Integrated Multi-Tiered System of Support (IMTSS) framework.
The Believe & Achieve Foundation donated funds to support summer programming.
Caln Elementary students explored future careers during Career Day.
Connecting With Our Community
Strong partnerships and community engagement remain at the heart of our work.
CASD hosted the Regional Special Olympics at Coatesville Area Senior High School.
District representatives participated in Senator Carolyn Comitta's Community Baby Shower.
CASD partnered with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission on the Vision Zero initiative.
The district honored those who served our nation during Memorial Day observances.
Dr. Rybarczyk provided an update on discussions regarding a potential partnership with FC Delco.
As we move closer to the end of another successful school year, I want to thank our students, staff, families, and community partners for their continued support of the Coatesville Area School District. The accomplishments highlighted this month are a reflection of the dedication, talent, and commitment found throughout our Raider community. That's why more families are Choosing Coatesville because we are Building the Future for Student Success. Thank you for being an important part of that journey.
