APRIL 2026 SCHOOL BOARD MEETING HIGHLIGHTS RAIDER REVIEW
Dear CASD Families, Staff, and Community Members,
On Tuesday, April 28, the Coatesville Area School District Board of School Directors met for the monthly board meeting. The evening featured several presentations, thoughtful discussion, recognitions, and important updates, and we are pleased to share the key takeaways from the evening.
Celebrating Excellence in CASD
Students from CASH had the opportunity to feature artwork in an exhibit at West Chester University supporting the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County.
The CASH Color Guard won first place in two competitions at two TIA events at Abington High School.
Congratulations to George Simeone and Harlow Stover for representing the Coatesville Area School District at the Delaware Valley Science Fair! George earned 2nd place in his category in Microbiology, and Harlow earned 3rd place in her category in Behavioral and Social Sciences.
Students from CASH earned top honors at the Regional 10 National History Day competition competing against students in Chester and Delaware Counties.
A special shout out to Davis Mae, Madelyn Roccia, and Ellevia Walters who participated in the Annual Coatesville Rotary Club Speech Competition.
The Paint and Patch Drama Club delivered two outstanding performances of Mean Girls Jr.
Throughout the district, the different buildings honored our administrative professionals for Administrative Professionals Day.
Juniors at CASH celebrated their eleventh-grade year in style at their Golden Gala Junior Prom.
Students at Scott Middle School were recognized as Rising Leaders by their teachers. Former Principal Eugenia Roberts spoke with the students about leadership, service, perseverance, and the importance of chasing your dreams.
Investing in the Future of Learning
Students in the Career Connection Academy Healthcare Program visited the Jefferson Einstein Hospital Simulation for their “Stop the Bleed” training program.
Kindergarten Screenings have begun so the district can get to know our soon-to-be youngest learners, and the district can determine which students qualify for our summer Jumpstart Program.
Twenty-six environmental science students from CASH visited the Stroud Water Research Center and conducted hands-on water quality experiments.
Students in grades 3-8 have started taking the PSSAs electronically in our elementary and middle schools.
Connecting with Our Community
Colton Hiller and other members of our Varsity Boys’ Basketball team hosted a free basketball clinic for students in grades 3-6.
On Wednesday, April 22, CALN hosted a Legacy Walk as an opportunity for former students, families, and staff to visit the school.
East Fallowfield will host their own Legacy Walk on Wednesday, April 29.
Students at CASH recently participated in a voter registration drive with the New Pennsylvania Project.
CASH Interact Club seniors completed its final Harrison House visit of the school year. The final visit was bittersweet for our seniors who have been visiting with residents for the last two years.
Students at CASH had the opportunity to see, touch, and learn about a Revolutionary War cannon which was forged at the Warwick Furnace and was on loan from the French and Pickering Creek Conservative Trust.
To celebrate Earth Day, 22 CASH students traveled to Cheslen Preserve to plant 200 trees.
Giant Foods donated a check to CASD for $8,681.00 from their “Feeding School Kids” campaign.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in person and virtually for the meeting. Your engagement, insight, questions, and support are vital to the continued improvement of our district and the success of our students.

ASPECTOS DESTACADOS DE LA REUNIÓN DE LA JUNTA ESCOLAR

Estimadas familias, personal y miembros de la comunidad de CASD,
El martes 28 de abril, la Junta Directiva del Distrito Escolar del Área de Coatesville celebró su reunión mensual. La velada incluyó varias presentaciones, reflexiones significativas, reconocimientos y actualizaciones importantes, y nos complace compartir los puntos clave de la noche.
Celebrando la excelencia en CASD
Estudiantes de CASH tuvieron la oportunidad de exhibir sus obras de arte en una exposición en la Universidad de West Chester en apoyo al Centro de Violencia Doméstica del Condado de Chester.
El Color Guard de CASH obtuvo el primer lugar en dos competencias en eventos de TIA en Abington High School.
Felicitaciones a George Simeone y Harlow Stover por representar al Distrito Escolar del Área de Coatesville en la Feria de Ciencias del Valle de Delaware. Estudiantes del Programa de Salud de la Academia Career Connection visitaron la simulación del Hospital Jefferson Einstein para su capacitación “Stop the Bleed”.

El miércoles 22 de abril, CALN organizó una Caminata del Legado como una oportunidad para que exalumnos, familias y personal visitaran la escuela.
East Fallowfield llevará a cabo su propia Caminata del Legado el miércoles 29 de abril.
Estudiantes de CASH participaron recientemente en una campaña de registro de votantes con el New Pennsylvania Project.
Los estudiantes de último año del Club Interact de CASH completaron su última visita del año escolar a Harrison House. Esta visita final fue agridulce para nuestros estudiantes, quienes han compartido con los residentes durante los últimos dos años.
Estudiantes de CASH tuvieron la oportunidad de ver, tocar y aprender sobre un cañón de la Guerra Revolucionaria, forjado en Warwick Furnace y prestado por el French and Pickering Creek Conservation Trust.
