JUNE 2025 SCHOOL BOARD MEETING HIGHLIGHTS
July 24, 2025
RAIDER REVIEW
Dear CASD Families, Staff, and Community Members,
It is our pleasure to provide you with several highlights from Wednesday’s Coatesville Area School District School Board Meeting. As always, the evening was filled with enthusiastic initiatives and lively discussion as we continue to chart the best educational pathways for our students.
Celebrating Excellence in CASD
Mrs. Maria Stauffer, principal of Rainbow Elementary and a long-term district employee, was bid a fond farewell as she prepares to begin working for the Chester County Intermediate Unit after 26 years with our district.
Mr. Jarvin Williams, the newly hired principal of North Brandywine Middle School, was approved and welcomed by the Board. Mr. Williams previously served as an assistant principal at CASH, and we are excited to have him back as part of the CASD team.
Investing in the Future of Learning
SmartPass will now be implemented in our middle schools. This digital hall pass system has been used at the high school for the past three years and helps increase student accountability, improve safety, and minimize disruptions during instructional time.
New furniture for the CASH College and Career Center will provide students with a professional workspace to help them explore and plan for their futures after graduation. Beginning this fall, students can use Smart Futures and other programs to apply to colleges, trade schools, or jobs; explore careers; build résumés; practice interviews; develop workplace skills; and connect with recruiters, apprenticeship programs, and local employers.
Reaching Out to Our Community
The Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) program received recognition for a recent field trip during which students presented a history of the American flag to a group of veterans at the Vocante Senior Living Center.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in person and virtually for the meeting. Your engagement, insight, questions, and support are vital to the continued improvement of our district and the success of our students.
Together, we are Coatesville Proud!
