Mrs. Melissa Willis
Hello East Fallowfield Family!
My name is Mrs. Melissa Willis and I am the proud principal of East Fallowfield Elementary School. I am entering my fourth year as an administrator and am so excited to be starting the year off at East Fallowfield! Although I am the newly appointed principal of East Fallowfield Elementary, I had the privilege of serving as the Interim Principal from December of 2018 through the end of the school year. This time allowed me to fall in love with our students and establish relationships with our staff and families. I am so overjoyed to be working with all of you on a permanent basis!
Prior to arriving at East Fallowfield, I was the assistant principal at North Brandywine Middle School for 2.5 years. I learned so much from my time in the middle school and truly miss my NBMS family!
Before making the leap into administration, I began my teaching career in the Norristown Area School District at Gotwals Elementary School. Soon after, I was hired as a classroom teacher in the Kennett Consolidated School District where I taught fourth and second grade for 10 years. I absolutely loved my time there and will carry those wonderful memories with me forever.
I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish from Shippensburg University, in Shippensburg, PA in 2005. Later, I went on to receive a Masters of Science in Education: Curriculum, Instruction and Technology from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. In 2015, I completed my second Masters Degree, this time in School Leadership from Wilmington University. I am looking forward to beginning my doctoral coursework in the 2020-2021 school year.
When I am not at work, I love to spend time with my husband Andre and three sons, Zahmere, Zahki and Legend. They are the joy of my life. I love to read, listen to all kinds of music, spend time with my family and friends and cheer for the Philadelphia Eagles! E-A-G-L-E-S!
