Dr. Christopher Jahnke
Welcome. I come to Scott Middle school with 30 years of educational experience. I began my career as a teacher at the Foundational School of Montgomery County where I taught Social Studies to special education students for five years. I then moved to Pennsylvania where I taught 7th and 8th grade social studies at Ephrata Middle School for ten years. I began my administrative career when an opportunity to become an assistant principal at Ephrata Middle School arose. After three successful years in that position, I wanted to experience life in an elementary school, and fortunately, I was hired as the principal at Mountville Elementary School in the Hempfield School District. While I greatly enjoyed that position during my 7 years there, I knew that the middle school level was my calling. Therefore I accepted the position of 7th grade principal at Radnor Middle School. I held that position for a year, when the principal vacancy at North Brandywine Middle School became available. The opportunity to work here in Coatesville was one that I did not want to miss, and I am fortunate to have been the principal at North for the last four years. This year, I will be the principal of the Scott 6th Grade Center.
Educationally, I received my Bachelors Degree from Dickinson College with majors in Education and Political Science. I earned my Masters of Education (Curriculum and Instruction) and my Principal Certification from The Pennsylvania State University. I completed my Doctorate of Education from Immaculata University in the summer of 2015.
I am excited for the opportunity to lead the newly created 6th Grade center at Scott, as this is a combination of my elementary and middle school backgrounds. Additionally, to be a part of something new and innovative like the 6th grade center is a dream for any administrator. I know we will do great things together here. I invite you to be a part of our school whenever you can...join our PTA, participate in conferences, share your ideas...I want us to work together to give our students every opportunity to be successful. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you need help for any reason.
