THE ARTS ARE ALIVE IN CASD!
From shooting and editing video in a visual arts class to crafting mosaic tiles, from bouncing a ball to discover rhythm to playing an instrument and to raising voices together in a choir, creativity can be found throughout the Coatesville Area School District!
As we celebrated Arts in Education this week, we wanted to highlight the many ways our students experience the arts every day in our schools.
Whether they are behind a camera, creating with their hands, making music, or performing together, the arts give our students opportunities to explore, express themselves, develop new skills, and discover their talents.
Take a look at some of our students in action and help us celebrate the arts in CASD!

A BEAUTIFUL DAY TO PLAY IN THE DIRT!
Today marked an exciting milestone for the future of the Coatesville Area School District as we officially broke ground on the new North Brandywine Middle School!
Administrators, teachers, students, community members, and invited guests came together on a beautiful afternoon to grab a few shovels, turn some dirt, and celebrate the beginning of an exciting new chapter for North Brandywine and our entire district.

This week, we recognize the creativity of our students and the dedication of our arts educators while celebrating the important role that visual arts, music, theatre, dance, and media arts play in education.

Girls in grades 6–12 in the Coatesville Area School District are invited to Super Science Saturday at West Chester University on Saturday, October 3!
This FREE, one-day STEM experience gives students the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities, meet women working in STEM careers, connect with WCU student mentors, ask questions, and discover the many possibilities available in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Today, across our country, solemn and reverent ceremonies are being held to honor and remember those who were lost and those families, friends, and colleagues who were impacted 25 years ago on September 11, 2001.

Throughout the day, remembrance will continue across our schools and classrooms as students learn about the events of September 11 and honor the lives lost, the courage shown, and the many acts of service and sacrifice that followed.
