Today, on National Custodian Appreciation Day, the Coatesville Area School District recognizes the dedicated custodians who work each day to keep our schools clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for our students and staff.
Much of what they do happens behind the scenes — before our students arrive, throughout the school day, and after everyone has gone home. From preparing classrooms and maintaining our buildings to responding whenever an extra hand is needed, their work plays an important role in everything we do.

Our students and staff showed up today in plenty of Phillies gear and RED to support the Philadelphia Phillies as they begin their playoff run in the Wild Card Series against the Atlanta Braves!
From jerseys and hats to plenty of Phillies red, our schools were ready to cheer on the Fightins!
Two big wins — that’s all we need to move on to the next round!

Congratulations to the 20 students who were inducted into the National English Honor Society (NEHS) – Coatesville Chapter last night during a special ceremony!
The National English Honor Society recognizes high school students for their outstanding achievements in English language arts while encouraging a continued passion for literacy, learning, and service.
Through NEHS, students have opportunities to promote literacy, serve their school and community, and celebrate the power of language and literature.
We are proud to recognize our newest inductees and congratulate them on this outstanding academic achievement!

There’s nothing quite like a Friday night under the lights — especially when the Red Raiders are back home!
Friday night’s 2026 home opener brought out plenty of Red Raider pride as our fans packed the stands to cheer on Coatesville against Owen J. Roberts. The evening also included a special tribute to our local military veterans and first responders, recognizing them for their service to our country and community.
And our Red Raiders gave the crowd plenty to cheer about, kicking off the home schedule with an impressive 35–7 victory!
The lights were bright, the crowd was loud, and it was great to have Friday night football back in Coatesville!
Let’s do it again this week! Join us as the Red Raiders take on West Chester East on Friday, September 25, at 7:00 p.m. We hope to see you under the lights!

Coatesville seniors Declan Brady, Brandon Berger, and Camryn Johnson, members of the Angela C. Cristoforo Chapter of the National Honor Society, recently volunteered their time to organize Bravery Kits for firefighters and first responders who continue to serve their communities each day.
The kits are part of Beacons of Bravery, a service project created by the Brighten A Day Foundation in recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
We are proud of Declan, Brandon, and Camryn for honoring the spirit of service through their own act of giving back and showing appreciation for the first responders who dedicate themselves to helping others.

Today, across our country, solemn and reverent ceremonies are being held to honor and remember those who were lost and those families, friends, and colleagues who were impacted 25 years ago on September 11, 2001.
This morning, our AFJROTC held a flag-raising ceremony and led an announcement commemorating that day and reflecting on its lasting significance.
Throughout the day, remembrance will continue across our schools and classrooms as students learn about the events of September 11 and honor the lives lost, the courage shown, and the many acts of service and sacrifice that followed.
