Read A thon

Next week, our school will be celebrating Read Across America Week, a special time dedicated to inspiring a love of reading and highlighting the joy books bring to our students. Throughout the week, classrooms will welcome special guest readers, adding excitement and giving students the chance to hear stories read by familiar faces from around our school community. We’re also thrilled to kick off our annual Read‑A‑Thon with a fun and energizing schoolwide assembly, “The Masked Reader,” where students will try to guess the identities of mystery staff members based on their beloved books. With themed activities, shared stories, and plenty of opportunities to dive into great books, it’s sure to be an engaging and memorable week of literacy celebrations! (Read-A-Thon registration coming home soon)

Throughout the week, students can take part in a Scavenger Storybook Character Hunt, searching for hidden book characters around the building to promote exploration, engagement, and literacy fun. The class that finds the character for the day will get a special reading-themed prize! Each grade will have their own character to search for.
