Happy Monday! This week, we have an early dismissal day on Wednesday, the 17th. The student day will end at 12:30 PM, and standard dismissal procedures will begin. Buses will follow their standard routes for drop-off, and parent pick-up will begin around 12:30.

Also on Wednesday, the 17th, the first PTO Fun Day! This month, we will have bounce houses set up for students to enjoy as an extra treat from the PTO. Students must wear socks to participate. Thank you to the PTO for funding this fun day for students.

Next week, the Monday Memo moves to a new time. Families can expect to get their news in the morning around 10:00 AM

We are excited for the first book fair of the year! teachers have signed up for days and times their classes will shop at the bookfair, but we need some help to make this bookfair run smoothly. Volunteers are what make it all happen.

Wednesday 9/24: Viguers, Chalfant, Mundy, McIntyre, Maloney, Miller, Crane, Swisher

We love having families volunteer! If you are interested in volunteering in any of our CASD schools, please complete the necessary background checks. Once you receive the various approvals, send them to your student's school. You may email, mail or drop them off with the front office. Keep the originals as they are good for five years(60 months).

Pennsylvania State requirements for volunteers

School volunteer requirements are currently under review at the state level. In July of 2023, the General Assembly passed House Bill 1276 updates were made for volunteer and employee clearances.

Last week, the PTO met and welcomed several new members to the group. At the meeting, we closed out conversations from the previous school year, reviewed the budget, and planned for some upcoming Fun Days! For September, we will have bounce houses.
