TOGETHER, WE ARE MORE — CELEBRATING HISPANIC HERITAGE!

Wednesday night's student-led Hispanic Heritage Month Community Celebration at CASH was filled with music, dance, and cultural pride as students showcased the rich traditions and heritage of our Hispanic and Latino communities!

Keynote speaker Matt Ortega shared his Mexican heritage and spoke about how this year's theme, "Together, We Are More," influences his approach to working with students and coaching football. Beloved principal Melissa Willis also reflected on her Latina heritage and offered inspiring words of encouragement to our students.

It was a wonderful evening that brought students, families, and community members together to celebrate, participate, and appreciate the cultures and traditions that make our community special!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped organize, donated, participated, and attended this memorable celebration!

CELEBRATING NATIONAL SCHOOL BUS SAFETY WEEK!

October 19–23 is National School Bus Safety Week, an important reminder that keeping our students safe on their way to and from school is everyone's responsibility!

Each day, thousands of students across the Coatesville Area School District rely on school buses to get to and from school safely. This week, we're reminding students, families, and motorists of the importance of practicing safe habits, especially when students are boarding or exiting their buses.

We also want to extend a special THANK YOU to our dedicated school bus drivers and transportation staff who work hard every day to help get our students to and from school safely!

Let's all do our part to keep our Red Raiders safe — one bus stop at a time!

CELEBRATING NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH WEEK!

It's National School Lunch Week, and we're taking a moment to recognize some of the hardworking individuals who help make every school day a little brighter — our incredible CASD cafeteria staff!

Every day, our dedicated food service teams work behind the scenes to prepare and serve meals to students throughout the Coatesville Area School District. From preparing food and serving lunches to greeting students with a friendly smile, their efforts help ensure our students are fueled and ready to learn!

But their work goes beyond the meals they serve. Our cafeteria staff help create a welcoming environment where students can take a break, enjoy a meal, and recharge for the rest of their school day.

This week, we want to say a very special THANK YOU to all of our cafeteria employees for their hard work, dedication, and the care they show our students each and every day!

You are an important part of what makes CASD such a special place to learn and grow!

THANK YOU TO THE PEOPLE WHO KEEP CASD SHINING!

Today, on National Custodian Appreciation Day, the Coatesville Area School District recognizes the dedicated custodians who work each day to keep our schools clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for our students and staff.

Much of what they do happens behind the scenes — before our students arrive, throughout the school day, and after everyone has gone home. From preparing classrooms and maintaining our buildings to responding whenever an extra hand is needed, their work plays an important role in everything we do.

To all of our CASD custodians, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and pride in our schools.

Today, we celebrate you and everything you do for our students, staff, and school community!

THE ARTS ARE ALIVE IN CASD!

From shooting and editing video in a visual arts class to crafting mosaic tiles, from bouncing a ball to discover rhythm to playing an instrument and to raising voices together in a choir, creativity can be found throughout the Coatesville Area School District!

As we celebrated Arts in Education this week, we wanted to highlight the many ways our students experience the arts every day in our schools.

Whether they are behind a camera, creating with their hands, making music, or performing together, the arts give our students opportunities to explore, express themselves, develop new skills, and discover their talents.

Take a look at some of our students in action and help us celebrate the arts in CASD!

Today, across our country, solemn and reverent ceremonies are being held to honor and remember those who were lost and those families, friends, and colleagues who were impacted 25 years ago on September 11, 2001.

This morning, our AFJROTC held a flag-raising ceremony and led an announcement commemorating that day and reflecting on its lasting significance.

Throughout the day, remembrance will continue across our schools and classrooms as students learn about the events of September 11 and honor the lives lost, the courage shown, and the many acts of service and sacrifice that followed.

Today, the Coatesville Area School District joins our community and our nation in remembering.
