OUR FINAL SUMMER SNAPSHOTS!
As summer comes to a close and we prepare for a new school year, we’re wrapping up our Summer Snapshots series with a special reminder that some of the best connections made in our classrooms last well beyond the school year!
This summer, Mrs. Miller had the opportunity to cheer on two of her former kindergarten students, Arianna and Grace, as they took the stage for their dance recital! Mrs. Miller taught both girls at East Fallowfield Elementary and was thrilled to see them shine doing something they love.
Now, Arianna is heading into 7th grade and Grace into 6th grade, both at Scott Middle School, while Mrs. Miller begins a new chapter as a Reading Specialist at Doe Run Elementary.
What a perfect way to close out our Summer Snapshots — celebrating the relationships that grow right alongside our students and make the Coatesville community so special. Great job, Arianna and Grace, and thank you to everyone who shared their summer adventures with us!

Elementary Sneak-A-Peek is TODAY!
Families who are new to King's Highway, Rainbow, or Reeceville Elementary School this year are invited to join us at those schools on Monday, August 17, for Sneak-A-Peek! Come explore your new school and help your student become familiar with the building before their first day.
Please note: Teachers will not be available during Sneak-A-Peek. Families will have an opportunity to connect with teachers and staff at the scheduled Back-to-School Night after the beginning of the new year.
Doe Run Elementary families: Your ribbon-cutting ceremony and Sneak-A-Peek will be held Wednesday, September 2.
We can't wait to welcome our families!

Check your email for the 2026-2027 Returning Student Information Update Notification and make sure your information is submitted by the deadline. Families who do not complete the update will NOT be able to access secondary student schedules or elementary classroom teacher assignments until the required information is submitted.

Exciting News for Coatesville!
A new school-based community health center—the first of its kind in Chester County—is coming to Coatesville Area Senior High School!
Operated by Union Community Care, the year-round center will serve CASD students, staff, and the entire community, providing convenient access to healthcare and connecting patients with additional health and community services. The partnership was made possible through $100,000 in state funding secured by Senator Carolyn Comitta.
We are excited about the possibilities this partnership will bring to our students, families, and greater Coatesville community.

CASD 26-27 SUGGESTED SUPPLY LIST- As we prepare for an exciting new school year, we want to remind our Doe Run Elementary families that the Coatesville Area School District proudly provides all materials and supplies needed for instructional purposes to our elementary students. There is no requirement for families to purchase school supplies.
However, we understand that many families enjoy the tradition of shopping for school supplies with their children, and we also know that some families like to start shopping early. If you’d like to take part in this tradition, we’ve included a list of optional items that students may bring to school to help them feel prepared and excited for the year ahead.
We also encourage each student to bring a refillable water bottle from home to stay hydrated throughout the day. Please be sure to label all personal items, including book bags, lunch boxes, and water bottles, with your child’s name and grade level to help keep items organized and easily identified.

The second-grade team at Doe Run Elementary School--Meg Sebastianelli, Emily Welsh, Miranda Greeley, Alyssa Gulatieri, and Brittany Flynn--recently came together for planning and team building as they prepare to welcome students into their brand-new school.
By collaborating, sharing ideas, and building a strong foundation now, they're ensuring their students will have an engaging and successful year from day one. We can't wait to see all the amazing things this outstanding team will accomplish together!
