District Message on Violence Against Asian-Americans
The Coatesville Area School District strives to create a school community free from racism, discrimination, and violence. Over the last few months and again as recently as yesterday, there have been reports of violence against Asians and Asian Americans in our country and abroad. We stand in full support of our Asian-American students, and believe that hateful acts and harmful rhetoric must not be tolerated. We will continue to work to promote an environment of inclusivity, one that welcomes students of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Our goal is to ensure that all members of our school district feel respected and valued.
The Coatesville Area School District does not discriminate in employment, educational programs, or activities based on race, sex, handicap, or national origin. This policy of non-discrimination extends to all other legally protected classifications in accordance with state and federal laws including Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and Section 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
