Mr. Kerry Myers
Mr. Myers grew up in a rural community outside of Harrisburg and attended West Chester University. While there, he competed as a distance swimmer and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management. After college he worked as a corporate account manager for seven years and remained active in swimming by coaching. Mr. Myers eventually listened to the advice that was given to him in high school and began his pursuit to become a teacher. He left the corporate world and enrolled at Immaculata University where he obtained his Masters in Educational Leadership, elementary and special education certifications, and eventually his administrative certificate.
Mr. Myers entered the classroom over ten years ago at Chichester School District, spending a great deal of his first year in the autistic support and emotional support programs. Next, he worked in third and fourth grades at Marcus Hook Elementary School as a special education teacher. After a few years, he accepted the role as the building’s Response to Instruction and Intervention (RtII) Coordinator. In that role, Mr. Myers worked with all the grade levels to implement programs and interventions to support the myriad of student needs. During the last three years he was the assistant principal at East Fallowfield, Reeceville, and Rainbow Elementary Schools. As an educator, Mr. Myers has had the pleasure to work on initiatives in the areas of academic growth, behavior, social-emotional development, curriculum, professional development, and school culture.
