ABOUT ME!  :O)  ;o)

Happy 2020-21 School Year!

Welcome back Coatesville Area School District!  As a local resident, parent, and teacher, I am so happy begin year two of brininging the Project Lead the Way curriculum to our elementary students.  The program develops 21st Century Skills and STEM content knowledge through integration of the engineering design process, scientific investigation, and the use of technology to learn about science concepts, solve problems, and have fun!  I bring many years of experience to Reeceville Elementary-- as a former STEM & Technology teacher at Avon Grove Charter School (3rd-8th grades), former Science Lab teacher at Villa Maria Academy Lower School (1st-8th grades), former middle school Science teacher (7th & 8th grades) and as a former middle school Computer Education teacher (grades 6th-8th).  My teaching certifications are in Elementary Education (K-6), Middle School Science, and Technology Education (K-12).  I am also a certified Lead Teacher for the Project Lead the Way Launch program.

In addition to teaching Science with kindergarten through fifth grade students and teachers, I also look forward to working with Reeceville students through my roles as Science Fair Coordinator and STEM Club sponsor.

When I am not teaching or preparing to teach, I enjoy spending time with my husband, three kids, and my dog, Leo.  I also enjoy traveling and always planning for our next trip!  We love to visit Mexico and Ireland, especially.  Eating out, watching movies, cooking for a crowd, and going on roller coasters are a few other favorites of mine.  I recently completed my Master's degree program in Teaching and Learning at West Chester University, but I will always bleed blue and white as a Penn State undergrad.

I look forward to working with everyone!
